It is 8:30 AM, Saturday, the 9th of December 2017. In the lobby of the RAB Events Center in Tg. Mures, the last preparations are made to welcome the 470 members of the Materom Family. Tg. Mures is hosting today our colleagues from 27 cities and everyone’s emotions are easily visible on their expressions.
Most of them see each other again, one year since the last anniversary of Materom. Today we celebrate 19 years of activity, team work, challenges, achievements and success that we struggled for together. It is 9 o’clock, and our guests start to arrive. People smile to each other, they give each other warm hugs, dozens of “welcomes” are heard, laughter and good spirit. The enthusiasm and bustle rapidly fill the welcome area, which soon becomes too small for the many of us who feel good to be together. We enter the conference room, where we are greeted by the warmth and cozy atmosphere which can only be matched by the “home feeling” and we know we are about to witness precious and exciting moments. Time flies when beautiful things happen, and the hours dedicated to Christmas carols and the management’s speeches pass on by quickly. We are happy for our colleagues whose efforts and dedication for over 10 years in Materom are being rewarded with awards and applause, we sing Christmas carols that remind us of the real reason for celebrating Christmas – the birth of our Savior and we are grateful for the historic success that our company has recorded in 2017.
It has already been confirmed what we already knew, that the evolution of Materom did not stagnate this year and this was mostly visible in the construction of the New Logistical Center, completing the first phase of the construction in November, and preparing for the inauguration in June 2018. The numbers don’t lie, the market share proves that team work is quite productive, and the annual report presented by Mrs. Rodica Baciu, Deputy General Manager, fills us with emotions, and because we are witnesses to the fact that “impossible” is the word we have overcome this year. One day is too little for how much we have to share, we take our places at the tables and once again we feel like a family where each member is appreciated and cherished. It is a holiday dinner, and since we want to create lifetime memories, we join our department and wait for the blitz of the camera to capture the joy and enthusiasm that we carry in our souls. It is the end of the day, but not the end of our celebration, we hug, we wish each other good luck and happily look forward to the next time we meet, because together we are stronger.
We gratefully received the blessings that God has given us in 2017 and stand tall facing the challenges in the upcoming year, with faith and confidence.
